Train to Pass

Most ITSM training is focused on certification. We forget to teach people how to apply the theory in their daily work.

Attitude & Culture

The number one reason ITSM initiatives fail is ABC: attitude, behavior and culture. Too little training time goes into creating buy-in and overcoming resistance.

Improvement Stops

ITSM is treated as an implementation project, so continual service improvement never becomes part of the culture.

Too Internal

IT is too internally focused. We forget the customer and the business, and cannot demonstrate the value of our services.

Do you recognize this?

ABC

Attitude, Behavior, Culture: the number one reason ITSM initiatives fail.

"This Apollo 13 simulation gave my team a clear focus on how to align the IT services to the business. We had fun, we saved the Crew, and we took at least 5 lessons learned back to the office!"

The Simulation Scenario

Houston, We Have
a Problem.

You are the Mission Control Center of NASA. Your aim is to support the Crew during the mission. You must design your services, implement them, execute them and apply continual improvement practices in order to ensure mission success.

In four rounds you are challenged with events, problems, issues, changes and increasing business demand. You must apply ITSM best practice in order to become successful.

"You guide the Crew through launch, the journey to and from the Moon, and a safe return and splashdown — while realizing the strategic goals for the mission."
